Grand Traverse Bay Fishing Guide

August 15 - September 15

Grand Traverse Bay is a bay in Lake Michigan created by the Leelanau Peninsula in the northwestern part of Michigan's Lower Peninsula. The bay is 32 miles long, 10 miles wide, and up to 620 feet deep in spots. It is divided into two arms, East Bay and West Bay, by the Old Mission Peninsula.

If you are looking for bigger fish, Grand Traverse Bay has some fantastic fishing opportunities starting in mid-August. It's time for Salmon and Lake Trout! We target King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout and Cisco with trolling techniques with our 24' Angler Qwest in August and September. Enjoy a calm fishing experience in the Great Lakes without getting seasick.
