Fish With Jim Outfitters provides high-quality ice fishing excursions on many of the inland lakes in our area.
Torch and Elk Lake Fishing Trips
March-November
Experience the thrill of reeling in quality fish in Northern Michigan! Come fish Torch Lake and Elk Lake, two of Northern Michigan's premier lakes. We catch a mixed bag of Lake Trout, Steelhead, Brown Trout, Atlantic Salmon and Perch during our outings.
Grand Traverse Bay Fishing Trips
August - September
If you are looking for bigger fish, Grand Traverse Bay has some fantastic fishing opportunities starting in mid-August. It's time to indulge in some fresh and delicious Salmon and Lake Trout! In August and September, we utilize trolling techniques to target King Salmon, Coho Salmon, Lake Trout, and Cisco with our 24' Angler Qwest.
Drummond Island Fishing Trips
Last Two Weeks of June
Go fishing with Fish With Jim Outfitters on Lake Huron and at the DeTour Passage. Catch Atlantic Salmon, King Salmon, Steelhead, and Lake Trout. Drummond Island, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, is a top spot for targeting a great fighting and delicious Atlantic Salmon. They are known to average 7lbs in weight. You can often catch a mix of King Salmon, Steelhead, and Lake Trout when targeting Atlantic Salmon in this area. Trips are offered the last two weeks of June.
River Mouth Salmon Fishing Trips
September 15-30
Come and fish the river mouths in our 17’ Polarkraft Jet Sled for King Salmon. Experience the thrill of catching the hardest-fighting fish in the Great Lakes before they head up the river. We use casting plugs, jigging, and float-fishing techniques to target these staging fish.
Northern Michigan Ice Fishing Trips
Jan - March 15
Ice Fishing is a beloved activity of Fish With Jim Outfitters! We fish in different lakes in the area depending on the ice conditions and the fishing, including Lake Charlevoix, Bear Lake, Thumb Lake, Lake Skegemog, Elk Lake, Torch Lake and more. Come catch some of Northern Michigan's quality fish through the ice, including: Lake Trout, Splake, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Perch, Burbot, Cisco and more.
